Visocica: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun
Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun (former Visocica), with its height of over 220 meters, is one third taller than the Great pyramid of Egypt. Four sides of the pyramid are perfectly aligned with the cardinal points (North-South, East-West). Measurements made by the Geodetic Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina suggest that northern portion of the pyramid is forming geometric feature of triangle, with equal sides of 365 meters and inner angles of 60 degrees. North side of the pyramid is oriented towards stellar north (like the Great Pyramid of Egypt), in parallel with position of the North Star. Numerous scientific analysis suggest artificiality of the monument: satellite imagery, thermal inertia analysis that shows quick heat loss due toinner chambers and hallways; penetrating radar suggests straight passageways with 90 degrees intersections; water drainage and inner angles of 45 degrees characteristic for artificial objects. Geo-archaeological research uncovered man-made stone blocks that the pyramid walls.

Former Pljesevica hill represents typical step-pyramid named the Bosnian Pramid of the Moon. Initial digging uncovered the foundation, terraces, plateau on the top of the pyramid, vertical wall and rectangular structure under one meter thick layer of soil. Four sides of the pyramid align with the cardinal sides (North-South, East-West). Thermal inertia analysis shows much quicker heat-loss than surrounding natural hills. Sandstone plates and blocks are exclusive building material used by the pyramid builders. During last 100 years locals have used those plates as a "quarry". Satellite images, thermal analysis and radar studies performed at the site, all independently confirming the existence of pyramid shaped architecture. So far, no excavations have been carried out at the pyramid, but preliminary geologic investigation confirmed the presence of man-made stone blocks lying beneath soil surface. The Bosnian pyramid of the Dragon, together with the other two, Sun and Moon, form the perfect triangle with the distance of 2.2 kilometers.
Network of Underground Tunnels

Initial research and local legends suggest that the whole net of underground tunnels exist under the Bosnian Pyramid Valley. Working hypothesis is that these tunnels connect all pyramids and other sites of importance. Researched area of one of the tunnel sections show intersections at 90 degrees, man-made ceilings and chambers and ventilation shafts. Several man-made sandstone monoliths have been found with symbols that might represent first European writings.

The Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon with it’s height of 190 meters is the second biggest pyramidal structure in the world. This pyramid has been one of the focus of investigation this season in Visoko. Great number of volunteers, archaeologists and geologists have had a chance to open new archaeological trenches or enlarge existing ones. The three-sided Moon Pyramid has a unique design combining paved terraces and clay layers. Clay was used as the construction and binding material.
A similar combination of construction materials can be found in the case of Chinese pyramids situated in Shaanxi province. During the period June-August 2010, volunteers and archaeologists have uncovered perfectly preserved paved terraces. Three vertical layers and four horizontal raws have been exposed. Italian and Spanish archaeologists discovered artificially-made water channels. There is also a step with sandstone blocks cut at the same slope. Half-radius of this terrace is made very diligently with half-circled sides at the meeting point of two blocks. This trench is labeled Sonda 20 and has attracted tens of thousands of tourists to the Bosnian Pyramid of the Moon this year.
THE PYRAMIDS IN VISOKO BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
MY VISIT TO THE TUNNELS on July 24.2010.
Excavations of the layers under which the tunnels had been buried are in full progress. Volunteers from all over the world are engaged in it. It is wonderful to see with what enthusiasm they are doing it. They simply vie with each other who will dig more, who will better load wheel-barrows, who will pull them out; and sift the sand and the grit in order to find something in it. All languages are spoken here, and they understand each other very well. They expect to participate in the discovery of something new. I, too, was lucky to share in this event. They opened a tunnel-passage which leads down the hill, and a lake at its bottom. No effort was spared. It may be dangerous, but Sylvia, a girl from Italy crawls through the passage so that she might be the first to take a photo of that lake. She is all covered in mud, but it does not bother her. She is happy.
The discovery of a new civilization, unknown until today, is in full progress. Recently, I was in America, and during a conversation with my friends about the Pyramids of which they had heard nothing, they received a spontaneous answer, very simple, yet original and true:
IT IS A REAL MIRACLE THAT NOTHING IS KNOWN ABOUT THESE WONDERS OF CIVILIZATION, because Atlántida is looked for, and according to Prais Troy ( Robert Salinas Prais) is also looked for, but this was not searched for, this is a complete unknown, something new, unexpected.
WHAT CIVILIZATION COULD THESE PYRAMIDS BELONG TO?
This question comes to mind spontaneously – who are the builders of these pyramids and structures? Common sense remains speechless, because here we are dealing with a complete unknown.
To answer such a question man often turns to imagination. As a child, I asked my daidža (uncle) Fadil, who was able to provide an answer to many a question, whether we were alone in the universe?
He answered that we were not, that there are jinni, inaccessible to men, to our senses, and our sight. His answer deeply impressed me, because at school such topics are not taught, and it was my little secret.
When I began to read, or better to say to study the venerable Qur’an, I discovered, by myself, some things which confirmed it. I have written about the latest discovery in our planetary system, that it consists of eleven stars, and have found out that ancient civilizations knew it through the dream of Joseph-Jusuf Pejgamber respectively, which in his dream saw that the Sun, the Moon, and the eleven Stars bowed before him when he was still a child. (Journal “Most” number 123 – 124).
Something similar I discovered with the jinni in the Qur’an. In Besim Korkut’s translation they are mentioned in 29 different places in addition to the separate Sura number LXXII, which is entitled Jinni. Invisible creatures, made of fire before the man was made have been assigned special roles (duties), and titles, like: good or evil, then the devil, (the Evil one), meleks, angels, spirits, and jinni. From Adam the Messenger to Adem respectively when the Satan does not want to bow before him, to Solomon – Sulejman the Messenger, to whom the wind, the devil – builders, and divers as well as others bound in fetters are given to serve him, to the revelation of the Qur’an to Muhammad, the Pejgamber, when the jinni listen to the revelation in Sura XLVI Ahkaf number 30, where it is said (stated): “Oh, our people,”said the jinni, “we listened to the Book which was revealed after Musa - Moses, which confirms that even those before them are true, and instruct us in the truth and direct us to the right path”.
The revelation occurred relatively not so long ago. It was some 1400 years earlier, when the jinni is mentioned, but it is believed that they are punished, and that they have disappeared !?
My attention was in particular attracted by the address to the people in which both men and jinni are mentioned. It is, perhaps, the translator’s way of putting it, but this definition, that peoples are made up of jinni and men, has been repeated several times.
There are many languages in this world, and each is God’s gift. Our Bosnian language is not widely spoken, but the word jin is often repeated in personal names, such as: Džinić. Džindo, Džinović, Džindić, Džino (Dž- J). The adjectives “džinovski” as well as “divovski” (gigantic) are in common use to indicate (describe) huge, supernatural power. All this is a little strange. We have never thought about it !!?
Such thoughts verge on incredible, but are very bold, and to say aloud something that is imaginary so that it might take shape (form), and become a controversial topic to be either refuted as without foundation, or to take form of truth. The Pyramids and the civilization from Visoko which created them constitute so great a challenge for their solution that only a loud, deliberate discussion can provide an answer to them.
VENERATION OF STONE
The unknown civilization related to stone in a special way, which has been confirmed beyond any doubt. Stone probably served as their totem, they believed in it, and in its properties, which are unknown to us.
In the 250 m long tunnels uncovered so far a special place is occupied by stones the color of brick, which are wide and flat and of different sizes, such as I have never encountered in natural environment. In fact, I have hardly thought about it, and can therefore not be competent. Their color reminds me of bauxite, but it would be necessary to pay a visit again to the National Museum in Sarajevo in order to look for similar stone in its collections of ores and minerals.
Dr. Osmanagić told me that these stones are cast, which left me wondering, because in addition to individual pieces they can also be found in the floor of the corridor.
They are very large and of irregular shape which left I puzzled (mystified).
The largest one stands on the pedestal and above it is the gallery (a vault). The cleft measures cca 3-4 cm.
Then, there is a stone with an unusual inscription engraved in the shape of straight lines. It closely resembles the letters found in the area of the Pannonia Sea in Hungary, more than 5000 years old.
Also in the presence of Dr. Osmanagić I recognized a figure of a man on a stone of similar size. We both were puzzled. Furthermore, on the same stone, which in its upper part is decorated with details in the shape of scallops, I recognized a horse’ head, which was not easy to see under the light of a flesh light.
On another stone we found a footprint resembling a mark left by an animal’s paw. This is the first impression, and it was thought that the stone must have been cast and that an animal stepped on it while it was not yet set (while it was still soft, fresh). However, I pointed out the inconsistency, because the footprint of the other paw should be present, too, if the animal was moving. I am more inclined to believe that it is a coded message – a sign rather than the trace of an animal paw.
BOGUMILISM
The conversation with Dr. Osmanagić was very spontaneous and frank. My family name comes from these parts, and is associated with the Bogumils, which prompted me to find out a little more about them. I know that Bogumils believed in stone, and that they venerated it. The “stečci” – tomb stones are the trace they had left behind. Dr. Osmanagić pointed it out to me that the stečci belong to an earlier civilization, and that it is not known how they were able to place such large stones on tops of elevated ground. I wanted to decipher this mystery. In this respect, I suppose they were aided by snow, and that stone blocks could have been hauled to such elevations by means of primitive sledges. (It is my intellectual property)
I even think that Bogumils could be considered as the reflection of that old civilization which believed in stone. Perhaps the theory that the Bogumils repressed by Orthodox Christianity came from Bulgaria and settled in Bosnian Mountains could be challenged. In its stead we could assume that Bogumilism spread in the Balkans and in Bosnia under the influence of that old civilization from Visoko. Religions fade and disappear on their edges whereas they persevere at their bases.
During the Kulin ban time (12th century) we had a university in Visoko, which is now being excavated. Sects similar to Bogumilism are known to have come from France to study here. Although it is relatively recent, it remains an unknown quantity because the influence exerted by other religions was very strong in eradicating al the traces of Bogumilism.
At this point, it is no more than thinking aloud, a hypothesis, but it is not far from making sense if all the parts are properly put together.
THE TUNNELS - THE MOST CURIOUS CREATIONS IN THE WORLD
As I walked along the tunnel- corridor side passages opened (appeared) on both sides. Some were still covered under river stones and gravel. Round river stones 20 cm of size were in the lower part of the wall arranged using “the dry wall system” and then were covered up with fine sand mixed with clay. With time, it did not dry up but remained loose during the excavation. After this layer has been excavated (uncovered) the upper part of the roof of the corridor appeared (is revealed) – which is oval with very irregular lines. The top and the lateral sides of the corridor are MADE OF THE WASHED RIVER SAND OF DIFFERENT GRANULATION, FROM VERY FINE SAND TO GRAVEL.
Here, no binding material can be noticed.
We talked of natural deposits from different times, but I noticed no traces of silt and/or decomposition. We talked abut the theory that the Danube had two estuaries, and that it flowed both into the Black and the Adriatic seas, about tectonic dislocations, about sudden changes in the climate, and of the legend of long winters which forced people to move. But after I had left the tunnel, it all become clear by it.
It is not a case of a natural phenomenon of sediment which has been cut through.
THIS IS THE MOST EXTRAORDINARY STRUCTURE IN THE WORLD.
Dr. Osmanagić, accept my warm congratulations on your courage and perseverance. You yourself do not know what you have discovered.
When I visited the pyramids in Egypt I had the good fortune to see the ground-plan (ground-sectio) of how the pyramids had been built. Their stability basically rests on their statics. Actually, the basis upon which a new stone is placed must be completely level (even), and so must be the side of the stone which rests (leans) on it to avoid caving-in in case of an earthquake. This is the foundation on which the stability of the pyramids rests; it is in the respect of statics and the law of gravitation.
IN THIS TUNNEL THE VAULT IS BUILT OF PURE RIVER SAND AND IT STANDS BY ITSELF IN THE AIR.
IT CONTRADICTS THE LAW OF GRAVITATION.

Up to now, the most beautiful building in the world, the Aia Sophia, excited the rivalry of two great civilizations – of Byzantium, and of the Ottoman Empire. The dome of that building was of such expanse that it was a marvel it could stand. In course of time, the dome collapsed, but the Turks restored it. However, in the history of architecture this rivalry has remained as an illustration of how wide a span of an arch can be taking in consideration building material and the known technique.
And what is at issue here?
Your statement that the sky could formerly be seen where the tunnels stand today is correct.
I assume that the moulds (casts?) of remarkable roundness (rotundity) were placed on the surface of the earth (on the ground) upon which the layers of rinced sand was deposited (under pressure).
The answer may be found at the entrance of the tunnels, as during the building of the road part of the ground was cut off so that it is possible to arrive at the section of the structure of the material which shows how and by what means the tunnels had been built.
I will venture to connect the specially pounded earth used in the Moon Pyramids with the pounded gravel in the Tunnels, that in both cases the same technique had been applied.
It is obvious that this civilization was quite familiar with properties of stone.
THE TUNNELS ARE JEOPARDIZED
The air in the tunnels is quite pleasant. Dr. Osmanagić told me that the presence of negative ions is very high, as is it has been scientifically established, and that such environment is beneficial for patients during the medical cure (treatment).
Here, there is also a lot of water, and there is no disagreeable smell here. In fact, there is no smell at all, only a pleasant environment. Naturally, it is much colder here than outside in hot summer days.
For safety reasons the corridors are secured by wooden stakes from which the bark has not been removed.
These wooden stakes began suddenly to rot obviously due to humidity and oxygen, but algae and mold have also appeared not only on the wood but they spread over the ceiling as well. They look like very thick cobweb, some white, some of brown color. I fear that the tunnels are endangered by these algae and I think that the wooden structure should be urgently replaced by stainless steel, and the vault should be of Plexiglas, or glass.
This should be done immediately.
UNESCO may be the right address.
The economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in a bad shape, but an even greater problem is the bad people who obstruct the activity of the uncovering of the pyramids. This is our Fate, our misfortune.
I do not wish to comment on what I have read, but what I have personally heard I simply cannot believe that a man like Jasmin Imamović can say in public on the occasions of the promotion of Mr.Lovrenović’s book on stečci (tomb stones) at the National Theatre in Tuzla:
“People abroad ask me about the Pyramids in Visoko”,
And I tell them: “It is nothing but nonsense”.
Too bad for an Imamović, but regretfully there are many Imamovićes today.
Mr. Semir Osmanagić, keep your head high. You have given so much and have encountered such obstacles. Truth is on your side. You have discovered a miracle.

Your statement that the sky could formerly be seen where the tunnels stand today is correct.
I assume that the moulds (casts?) of remarkable roundness (rotundity) were placed on the surface of the earth (on the ground) upon which the layers of rinced sand was deposited (under pressure).
The answer may be found at the entrance of the tunnels, as during the building of the road part of the ground was cut off so that it is possible to arrive at the section of the structure of the material which shows how and by what means the tunnels had been built.
I will venture to connect the specially pounded earth used in the Moon Pyramids with the pounded gravel in the Tunnels, that in both cases the same technique had been applied.
It is obvious that this civilization was quite familiar with properties of stone.
THE TUNNELS ARE JEOPARDIZED
The air in the tunnels is quite pleasant. Dr. Osmanagić told me that the presence of negative ions is very high, as is it has been scientifically established, and that such environment is beneficial for patients during the medical cure (treatment).
Here, there is also a lot of water, and there is no disagreeable smell here. In fact, there is no smell at all, only a pleasant environment. Naturally, it is much colder here than outside in hot summer days.
For safety reasons the corridors are secured by wooden stakes from which the bark has not been removed.
These wooden stakes began suddenly to rot obviously due to humidity and oxygen, but algae and mold have also appeared not only on the wood but they spread over the ceiling as well. They look like very thick cobweb, some white, some of brown color. I fear that the tunnels are endangered by these algae and I think that the wooden structure should be urgently replaced by stainless steel, and the vault should be of Plexiglas, or glass.
This should be done immediately.
UNESCO may be the right address.
The economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in a bad shape, but an even greater problem is the bad people who obstruct the activity of the uncovering of the pyramids. This is our Fate, our misfortune.
I do not wish to comment on what I have read, but what I have personally heard I simply cannot believe that a man like Jasmin Imamović can say in public on the occasions of the promotion of Mr.Lovrenović’s book on stečci (tomb stones) at the National Theatre in Tuzla:
“People abroad ask me about the Pyramids in Visoko”,
And I tell them: “It is nothing but nonsense”.
Too bad for an Imamović, but regretfully there are many Imamovićes today.
Mr. Semir Osmanagić, keep your head high. You have given so much and have encountered such obstacles. Truth is on your side. You have discovered a miracle.
Once again, I congratulate you from all my heart, and I thank you.
I hope that this positive approach will sufficiently intrigue scientific circles, and perhaps put them upon the right track to find true answers for these unknown civilizations in our parts.
